Boogie Nights is the story of a young man’s adventures in late 1970s and 1980s in the California pornography industry.  Set in 1977, when the sex was safe, pleasure was a business and business was booming.  Eddie Adams (Mark Wahlberg), a dishwasher from the San Fernando Valley works as dishwasher at a Hollywood nightclub when he is discovered by a Tiparillo-smoking exotic film maker named Jack Horner (Burt Reynolds).
