Hitch is the story of Alex ‘Hitch’ Hitchens (Will Smith), a professional dating coach and matchmaker who mentors men desperate to fall in love and guarantees that any man can get the girl of his dreams if he overcomes his fears and follows his infallible advice. His latest client, Albert Breneman (Kevin James) is a timid accountant and bumbling ball of nerves who hopes to win the heart of the glamorous, rich and beautiful heiress, Allegra Cole (Amber Valletta). While Albert makes progress, Hitch faces his own romantic setbacks when proven techniques fail to work on Sara Melas (Eva Mendes), a tabloid reporting digging for dirt on Allegra Cole’s love life. When Sara discovers Hitch’s connection to Albert–now Allegra’s boyfriend–it threatens to destroy both relationships.
