How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is the story of advertising executive Benjamin Barry (Matthew McConaughey) who is trying to land a big account, only his boss Phillip Warren (Robert Klein) thinks it needs a feminine touch, so he considers giving it to a couple of female execs.  Ben makes a wager with his boss that if he can get a woman to fall in love with him in 10 days he gets the account.  The twist, the female co-workers get to choose the woman Ben has to make fall in love.  Sneakily they choose Andie Anderson (Kate Hudson), a writer for Composure magazine whom they had met earlier and learned she is doing an article called “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days”.  Ben accepts their choice thinking she will be a shoe in not knowing Andie’s mission is to get a guy to fall for her and then do everything a girl shouldn’t do to win a man and lose him in 10 days or less and then write about the experience.
