Midway details real life events centering on US soldiers, pilots and leaders who changed changed the course of World War II by using used their instincts, fortitude and bravery to persevere through the Battle of Midway in June 1942. The U.S. and Imperial Japanese naval forces fought for four days with U.S. victories marking a pivotal turning point in the Pacific Theater.
Six months earlier, on December 7, 1941, Japanese forces launched a devastating sneak attack on Pearl Harbor, the U.S. Naval base in Hawaii severely damaging the U.S. Pacific fleet. On the morning of June 4, 1942, the Japanese launch their air attack on Midway and once again plan a strike against American ships in the Pacific. However, this time the Navy was ready and anticipating the attack and launch their own raid on the Japanese fleet. For the next three days, the U.S. Navy and a squad of brave fighter pilots engage the enemy in one of the most important and decisive battles of World War II.
