Dazed and Confused is the story highlighting the last day of school at Robert E. Lee High School in a small town in Texas in 1976. The end of the school year and summer break is cause for celebration. Seniors are excited to chase and haze the incoming freshman and everyone is trying to get stoned, drunk or laid, even the football players that signed a pledge not to.
Many of the kids are skipping classes, smoking weed and thinking about the big keg party for the senior students at Kevin Pickford’s (Shawn Andrews) house tonight, as his unwitting parents are going to be away for the evening. Meanwhile, today is also the traditional hazing day, where seniors exercise their rites of passage and traumatize the freshmen. Freshman boys are physically punished, while the girls largely face the brunt of verbal abuse and humiliation.
Amongst all the freshmen, Mitch Kramer (Wiley Wiggins) is the biggest target after his stupid sister Jodi Kramer (Michelle Burke) asks the boys to go easy on him. These thoughts and activities continue as day turns to night and as the keg party doesn’t end up quite as planned.
