Meet Joe Black is the story of William ‘Bill’ Parrish (Anthony Hopkins), a wealthy media tycoon and loving father who is getting ready to celebrate his 65th birthday. However, before he reaches that milestone, he is visited by Death who has taken human form as Joe Black (Brad Pitt), a young man who recently died. Joe and Bill make enter into a gentleman’s agreement where Bill will be given a few extra days of his life and in exchange, Joe will spend the same time getting to know what it’s like to be human by touring Bill’s life. It seems like a perfect arrangement, until Joe falls in love with Bill’s daughter Susan (Claire Forlani). Joe begins to develop certain interests in life on Earth, as well as in Susan, who has no clue with whom she’s flirting. Now Bill must fight not for his future, but for those he loves in this bittersweet tale of life and death.
