Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood is a story set in Los Angeles in the summer of 1969, and focuses on TV actor Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio), who’s had one hit western series and is looking for a way to get into the film business. His sidekick and stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt), is also looking for the same thing.

The horrific murder of Rick’s neighbor, Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie), and four of her friends by Charles Manson’s cult of followers, serves as the backdrop as Rick and Cliff embark on an odyssey to make a name for themselves in a Hollywood that they don’t recognize anymore.

Movie Quotes

“When you come to the end of the line with a buddy who is more than a brother, and a little less than a wife, getting blind drunk together is really the only way to say farewell.” – Narrator
“Well, since I just finished watching a Rick Dalton film festival, I think I know who you are. Put it there.” – Marvin Schwarz
“Well, it’s my pleasure, Mr Schwartz, and thank you for taking an interest.” – Rick Dalton

“What did I always say? Most important thing in this town is, when you’re making money, you buy a house in town, you don’t rent. Eddie O’Brien taught me that. Hollywood real estate means you live here. You’re not just visiting, not just passing through, you live here.” – Rick Dalton

“But my hands are registered as lethal weapons. That means we get into a fight, I accidentally kill you, I go to jail.” – Bruce Lee
“Anybody accidentally kills anybody in a fight, they go to jail. It’s called manslaughter. I think all that lethal weapon bullsh*t is just an excuse so you dancers never have to get in a real fight.” – Cliff Booth
