Tombstone is the story of Wyatt Earp (Kurt Russell), a retired peace officer with a notable reputation who reunites with his brothers Morgan Earp (Bill Paxton) and Virgil Earp (Sam Elliott) in Tucson, Arizona where they venture on toward Tombstone to settle down. There they encounter Wyatt’s long-time friend Doc Holliday (Val Kilmer) who is seeing relief in a dry climate from his worsening tuberculosis.

Meanwhile, the Earp’s have left their gunslinger ways behind them and intend to settle down and start a business in the town of Tombstone in the 1870’s.  Not looking for trouble yet the Earp’s found trouble when they become targets of the ruthless Cowboy gang lead by “Curly Bill” Brocius (Powers Booth).  The brothers are forced to pick up their guns once more to try to restore order to a lawless land and are assisted by Doc Holliday for the legendary fight at the OK Corral. After which, Wyatt announces that he is a U.S. Marshall and is set on killing the Cowboy’s who all wear red sashes around their waist.

Wyatt and Doc along with “Texas Jack” Vermillion (Peter Sherayko), “Turkey Creek” Jack Johnson (Buck Taylor) and a reformed Cowboy named Sherman McMasters (Michael Rooker) form a posse to wipe out the notorious gang.
