Clear and Present Danger brings us back together with Agent Jack Ryan (Harrison Ford) who has just been appointed as acting CIA Deputy Director when Admiral Greer (James Earl Jones) is receives a terminal cancer diagnosis.
When an American businessman, a good friend of the President, is murdered along with his entire family on a yacht, the killings appear to be the work of a Colombian Drug Cartel. Ryan is asked to investigate and starts discovering links between the dead man and drug dealers.
As CIA agent John Clark (Willem Dafoe) is sent to Columbia to kill drug kingpins in retaliation, Ryan must fight through multiple cover-ups to figure out what happened and who is responsible.
