Mr. & Mrs. Smith is the story of John Smith (Brad Pitt) and his wife Jane Smith (Angelina Jolie).  By day, John is a construction executive and Jane is a tech support consultant and they have been married for five years but their marriage is suffering and they are seeing a marriage counselor together.  Both of them are surprised when they learn that they are both really assassins belonging to competing agencies and that they have been assigned to kill each other.
